What is a dental emergency?

If your child is experiencing any dental pain, Coral Kids is here to help ensure your child’s teeth are taken care of in a quick and efficient manner. Please call us with any questions or concerns you may have.

It’s OK if you aren’t sure if you have a dental emergency or not; we are always here to help. If you are concerned, then so are we.

Whether your child has a sudden tooth pain, swelling or has broken or chipped a tooth, it is important to contact us to discuss what your next steps should be.

These are the most common signs your child requires emergency dental care:

  • Severe Pain – Sudden and unexplained pain could be a sign of infection that could require antibiotics.
  • Accident – Kids get hurt, we know that. But any accidents to the mouth or jaw need to be brought to our attention as soon as possible.
  • Lost tooth – If your child broke or lost a permanent tooth, please call us right away. There can still be a chance that we can save the tooth.
  • Uncontrollable bleeding – Bleeding can be a sign of many different issues. From gum disease or trauma, it’s important to call our office so that we can find out the cause and treat accordingly.
  • Visible infection/ puss – If left untreated abscesses can spread and become a larger issue for your child.
